This topic contains information for slideshow usage in our WordPress themes: My Engine Premium, My World with Grass and Dew Premium Premium, My Contrastica Premium, My Lovely Premium and My Way Premium.
The usage is the same for all themes. The only thing that may vary from theme to theme is the size of the slideshow (weight and height) in frontend.
For all examples presented in the documentation will be used My Engine Premium theme where the slideshow has 1110px weight and 450px height. The remaining parameters can be customised to all the themes and the usage is identical.
The Slideshow can be composed of images and HTML elements, that can be applied to certain visual effects described by a set of settled functions. So you can get a lot of possibilities for your slideshows that will make your presentations in the most original and creative ways.
Below, you can see examples of slideshows created at the following links and you can make sure about the infinite possibilities of this component.
In our themes the slideshows are custom posts. This allows you to create multiple slideshows and reusing them.
In the example below is presented a list of slideshows and where they are placed in Admin Dashboard.
First, it is necessary to fill in the fields marked with a red border. You can fill in exactly like in the picture below, as seen in the illustration, the slideshow doesn’t contain a lot of settings.
Because the slideshows are the custom posts it can be previewed like a default post OR a default page ( in single template ). Also you can preview slideshow on attached page.
Attach to pages
The slideshow can be viewed by users only if it is attached to a page. If the slideshow is not attached to a page then you can view the slideshow only if you will access direct link to slideshow ( slideshow permalink is below the Slideshow Title from the edit form).
To attach the slideshow to a page go to the section Pages from Admin Dashboard, select the page that will be attached slideshow and go to edit this page.
Bottom after page content you can find box “myThemes Settings” with option Attach Slideshow like in image below
Slideshow Manager Content
The slideshow contain some slides and slides contain some layers
You can use 2 different layers: image layers nad HTML layers:
For layers is possible to use 2 events sample show and movement functions. Show function use settings with 1 point and with 2 coordinate ( x, y – position to show the layer )
Movement functions use 2 points, start position ( x, y ) and end position ( End x, and End y ):
