    The theme is “translation ready” but not contain the translated files for each language.

    Is need to translate the english file in to your language.

    Ho to do this ?

    Unpack the theme and go to the directory:

    here you can see files en_Us.po and how-to-translate.txt

    please read the content from the file how to translate.

    how-to-translate.txt content:

    Firstly you'll need a tool allowing you to translate .po file into your language.
    You can use Poedit app, or CodeStyling WordPress Plugin.
    After you unzip the archive you must have folder "materialize" with theme files.
    After this go to materialize/media/ln/ here you can see file en_US.po. Now here create new file,
    for example fr_FR.po and copy content from en_US.po to fr_FR.po ( to copy content use sample text editor ).
    After open fr_FR.po ( using poeditor ) and start translating each word to your language.
    After you finished, click button "Save Catalog", and it will create a new .mo file in the same folder.
    Then you'll need to open wp-config.php file from the root folder of your WordPress install, and replace this line:
    define ('WPLANG', '');
    with something like:
    define ('WPLANG', 'fr_FR');
    Then make sure that .mo file from materialize/media/ln/ folder of our theme has the same name as your language code: ""
    IMPORTANT: Is need by one .po file for each language, in case you want to use plugin qTranslateX to enable more languages.
    More information you can find here:

    Also you can use the plugin Loco Translate and you can translate the theme in live mode !

    plugin is here :

    Hi, tried everything a stated above, but my site still doesn’t translate the “read more’ button et cetera into Dutch. Mo files are names exactly and even putted into a new folder in /media, named ln (wasn’t there in the first place). Also putted it in languages folder. PLease advise!

    The methods have changed a little so you just install Loco-translate plugin and use the Beginner’s guide

    Have a nice day.
