Hi
I want to put our blog posts on the front page. I am confused as to how to do it. I could really do with some proper documentation on all of the features of this wonderful premium theme – is there any?
I have managed to get summary blog posts on the front page, but only by using the following settings, puts en empty section ‘Our latest projects’ above the ‘Latest from our blog’ heading
[1] I created a blank page called ‘Blog’
[2]
Appearance > Static Front Page > Front Page = ‘Blog’
Appearance > Static Front Page > Posts Page = ‘Blog’[3]
MyThem.es
FRONT PAGE
View Mode = InfoBoxes & Projects & ArticlesI don’t even know what an InfoBox is! Can’t find any explanation anywhere.
On point [3] it does say the following:
“if you will use “Sample Page” you must edit the page content that is set as static Front Page by using shortcodes”
I presume this means I can add some shortcodes to the page called ‘Blog’ to effectively add ‘Articles’. However, I can’t find any documentation on such shortcodes.
The alternative might be to just have additional options in step [3]:
View Mode = Articles
View Mode = InfoBoxes & ArticlesThanks
Regards

1. please use diferent pages for Static and Blog.
look here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/63722484/my-lovely-premium/andrew/wordpress-reading-settings.png
my demo wordpress reading settings.Static page is dedicated to display some details about you web site on front page ( first page on your website ).
If you want to display only the blog section on front page you can to do in next way:
go to Admin Dashboar : Settings > Reading:
here find option: “Front page displays” and use “Your latest posts”.
and you will have latest posts on front page.
But if you want to display any details and blog section on Front Page then use option ” A static page (select below)”
and set page for “Front Page” and “Blog” page ( two different pages ).After go to myThem.es > Front Page and here select “Sample Page” view.
After go to edit static page.
for eg ( on our demo website ):
